2. How Can I Cover These Costs?

2.1 Tuition Fees

For the academic year 2010/11, the tuition fees for all our courses will be £2,961.

There are 2 methods for paying the tuition fee:

  • You can choose to pay for your tuition out of your own funds if you desire.  This is payable in two instalments, of £1,481 due at registration and £1,480 due on 1st December.  If you decide to pay by this method, you will be asked to supply both cheques at registration.
  • However, most students choose to defer payment of their tuition fees by taking out a tuition fee loan for the exact amount of the tuition fee.  See What Statutory Support Can I Get?. The tuition fee is then paid directly to us by the Student Loans Company.  The loan would then be repaid by you only once you are earning over £15,000. See When and How Do I Have to Repay?

2.2  Living Expenses

Living expenses include all your day-to-day living expenses such as accommodation, household bills, food, books, clothes, travel, socialising and leisure.

It is important to have a good idea of how much money you are going to need to meet these costs over the length of the course. See What will it Cost?

In addition, there are several loans and grants available to help you meet these costs, see
What Statutory Support Can I Get?

Once you have that information to hand there are several good budget calculators available that you can use to help you work out your budget. See UCAS Budget Calculator.
